Right Leg. ( Changed- 09/04/2012)

It is vital that both legs, but particularly the right leg, remain in the original address condition of being slightly bend throughout the back swing and the down swing movement, it must not straighten nor must it be allowed to bend any further, the bend in the leg that is adopted at the address position must be maintained at all times.

The only movement the legs should make is as follows:-
During the back swing movement the left knee moves slightly forward from the original address position whilst simultaneously the right knee moves slightly backwards from the original address position.

During the down swing movement, the left knee returns to the original address position before moving slightly backwards from the original address position as the left leg straightens, whilst simultaneously the right knee returns to the original address position before moving slightly forward from the original address position.

This action prevents the body lifting and dropping as the hips rotate.

Therefore you must not allow the right leg to bend during the down swing movement otherwise you will cause the whole body to dip thus effectively increasing the loft of the relevant golf club in your hand nor must be allowed to straighten.
